Coffee is a nice way to finish lunch and get back to work with lots of energy. Today we’re going to take a look at how you can enjoy coffee as a delicious dessert.

This recipe is easy, fast, and only requires 3 ingredients: coffee, whipped cream, and sugar!

Coffee cream is commonly found in bars around Italy, where it is constantly being stirred inside a soft serve machine, ready to be poured at a moment’s notice.

What we are going to make today, is a coffee cream that’s even better than what you can buy at bars. You can use any type of coffee you want and even get creative with it.

Step by step method

  • Step 1

First of all, you need to brew some coffee. We recommend you brew it in a Moka for a more authentic result, however, you can choose the brewing method you like most.

  • Step 2

Whenever the coffee is done, add sugar to taste, and leave it to cool down. The coffee should be left to chill in the fridge for a couple of hours.

  • Step 3

Prepare a bowl and inside it, place the fresh whipping cream and sugar. With the help of an electric mixer, whip the cream until it forms into a thick cream.

  • Step 4

Take the, now cold, coffee out of the fridge and pour it slowly while you keep mixing the cream.

  • Step 5

Once the coffee has mixed entirely with the cream, you can transfer it into a sealed container and leave it to chill in the fridge for about an hour.

  • Step 6

The coffee cream is now ready to be served! You can pour the cream into coffee cups and sprinkle a bit of cocoa powder or cinnamon on top to finish it off.

Tips & variations

  • You can use decaffeinated coffee, making the desert suitable for children

  • If you love coffee without sugar, then you can take it out completely
